It's Official...My boy is two;)

Here are the pictures from his birthday party and riding his very first scooter around the neighborhood! It was a great day, we really had a fun time with the kids and everything I had planned didn't work out....It was the unplanned that was fun, like the impromptu birthday dance from a young party-goer and the sword fighting that broke-out between the boys! His theme was Cars, but we asked that people bring things he could play with outdoors. We came up with the Cars theme because everyday after school he breaks into a dead sprint to his room when we get home and says "Mommy I want to see Cars" (mommy iwansee cars). That movie has helped me prepare many meals, many thanks to the creators!

Things I love about Branson at TWO!
1. He can communicate his needs without getting frustrated with me.
2. He can play alone and not tear my house apart.
3. He tells me out of the blue "Luv u mommy" and gives me a smooch.
4. He says "Please and Thank you"
5. When he sees mommy is tired he will sit with me and play with his truck.
6. He entertains Brooklyn when mommy is preparing dinner...plays cat and mouse with her which is beautiful!
7. Gives his sister so many kisses....he LOVES her.
8. Says "Daddy no-no" when daddy is being a bad boy!:)
9. Is learning some letters and starting to show interest in colors.
10. No terrible twos to be found! He has gone over that hump (cross my fingers) and now is cruising!

*Yes, mothers of 8 year olds, I am aware that he is going to go through other stages...but when the daycare provider was telling you daily "he was good, but..." and now is saying "Branson is doing a wonderful job, I am so proud of him, he is really listening well..." and many other fabulous accolades, we first time mothers tend to get excited! Don't burst my bubble:)

Two Years Old Already???

On January 11, 2007 at 12:47 a.m. Branson Anthony Reeves III made his big arrival on this earth. My life has never been the same way since and I am so thankful to God that he chose me to be his mother.;) As we close in on that date this year, I wanted to take a look back at the past two years!

Happy New Years!

So, I am three days late on this post as well...this will probably be the only time I talk about me:) But, I have to tell a few of my resolutions!
1. Get to bed at a reasonable hour!
2. Be even more faithful about my relationship with God:)...THIS IS A BIGGIE!!
3. Learn to let go of what I can't control (this will be situational and year long:))
4. Get this deux baby weight off my body:) But most importantly just be healthy and set a good example.
5. Be more open to people!
6. Give my babies loads and loads of mommy time....which is SOOOO hard with working!!
7. Learn new and exciting recipes....
8. Don't have another baby YET!!:)

Brooklyn's Resolutions:
1. Sleep through the night
2. Walk
3. Cut some more teeth
4. Get a barrette in my hair
5. Say "mama", "dada", and "juice"....I believe she wants more words than that too!

Branson's Resolution:
1. Know my ABC's
2. Ride my tricycle
3. Get a sandbox
4. Go to sleep without screaming "MOMMY!"
5. Learn more environmental print

*So, here is my corny...self-portrait, in my car, while my husband ran into Starbucks for coffee...Happy New Year Everybody:)

Brooklyn at 9 months!!

I am three days late on this post, but I am so thankful for my baby girl at 9 months and all the new exciting things she is learning to do:)
1. Clapping hysterically!
2. Laughing like an adult woman....hopefully the video works:)
3. Giving me kisses:)
4. Taking steps all over the place...
5. She is the fastest crawler in the West!
6. Is always smiling, laughing, and can dance-dance-dance...
7. Lays in my arms and rocks her body so she can remind me that I should be rocking...
8. Plays with her brother all the time...they are good friends!
9. She is always in a beautiful mood...(as long as she is well)
10. The way she squeezes her lips together when she is hungry and says "MMMMMMMMMM"!

Some of the pictures of her finally starting to enjoy her nursery...she makes all that work even more worth it!
