Potty Trained!

Yes...It's official, #1 and #2 have been mastered! No diapers for two weeks...cold turkey training and it's really working:) Kelly gave me the idea that he would not like to walk around with wet underwear and she was right. Last night we went to a RR Express game and he went potty twice; I was admittedly very nervous to bring him minus the diaper but I am so glad we did. He loved the baseball game and kept moving my head to be sure I was watching every minute of it. That's my boy...2 years and 4 months ready for the next step!

  2. Way to go...we are on our way too! The stool at the foot of the toilet for them to put their feet up on works wonders for #2! We are so proud of your guy!
    Yippee!

  3. Yay for Branson!!

We are almost there as well, randomly enough. Ava's diapers ran out and she told me that she wanted big girl panties! No diapers for almost a week, although pull-ups at night and most naps.

How did you do it for sleeping? I'm scared. Let me know! Also, she won't go potty in public, any advice on making her more comfortable?

  5. Megan it's a work in progress, the sign that he was ready to go all night without the diaper was the dry diaper in the mornings. If she is waking up wet I wouldn't do it, but if she is consistently dry go for it! Truth be told my kids daycare provider has been amazing in the whole process, she literally told me one day "No more diapers tomorrow, let's just try it out." So, we did:) Potty in public was another tip I got from my childcare provider...she actually teaches the kids on a real toilet with no interchange seats so the fear of the toilet has honestly been non-exsistent. He actually just wants to go back and forth to the bathroom when we are out! I was also noticing your post about Ava's daily routine, one of the things you can do is 15 min. after every drink she sits on the pot then before nap and immediately when she wakes up from nap sit her...I bet she can do it as long as you learn her timing:) Good luck!
