My House.....

Well, I am making gentle attempts at decorating since we bought our house 8 months ago...I have A LOT of work to do; paint colors, accessories, and drapery. So, my current task is entry way, kitchen, and living room---basically all blank canvases!! What do you think???

This T.V. is my arch nemesis!! It's slapped in the middle of my wall....ugh I saw some stuff at Pier One I really liked, but I wonder if I should try and decorate around it....will it look crazy??

Pillows, tags still attached, just in case they don't work out...I was thinking of adding some sort of blue in here.

My entryway, I am thinking mirror?? I don't know that wall needs something!

I am so excited about my table!! But what about centerpiece? and empty walls??

Another view of the living room....my living room is like me all too neutral so I want to throw in a pop of color while still keeping the integrity of my style!:)

HHHHHEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!:)

The Cupcake Masacre!

Well, it's Spring Break in my world and I am so intrigued by the little minds in my home. I decided to try something different that I called "Cupcake Colors". While my children were napping I made some cupakes and sat them on the counter to cool as I ran to get a mid-afternoon shower. I knew that as soon as I cut the shower off a child would wake up and of course Brooklyn screamed as loud as an alarm clock. I ran, towel in hand, to the other side of the house and scooped my girl up and brought her to the guest room so I could continue dressing. But, no sooner did I hear a "Mommy, where are you?" so my gig was up. I pieced my clothes on in a hurry, with my hair dripping into my eyes, swiftly brisked the duo away into the playroom and ran to the restroom to tame the locks. About a minute later my son comes hopping very happily around the corner and with a mouth full of some substance in excitement screams "Biscuit!". I paused for a moment and began my sprint around the corner where I was greeted by my dear daughter with a handful of "biscuit". But, to my surprise there wasn't much mess to be found....that is until I rounded the corner of my island and all over the floor I found this>>>

Seriously, what kids can do in a matter of seconds is amazing! By the way, we did finish our cupcake colors lesson and my son did a great job with his colors... He got shafted with the cupcakes though, Brooklyn got the infamous muffin top (any Seinfeld fans out there:)and my dear boy was left with the bottom. Now I know, don't leave them alone even for wet hair....I can always detangle the mess later!!

Just another day in the life!

Entering the box with her brother...her face says it all "I'm going in mom".

Inside of his box...the new greatest toy in my house, who knew?

Fighting over a juice box...Brooklyn ended up with the straw and he with the box!

This is what he does every morning after we wake him up! Also his mother's child:)

He is so sneaky!

Thinking Thursday!

Since I haven't gotten to post a blog lately I thought one with just the boy would be great!

Brooklyn at 11mths.

Brooklyn is growing into such a little girl! I love watching her grow and there are so many things I love about her.
1. The way she smiles as big as a saucer when she should be sleeping!
2. When she points to my nose...she loves nosy-nosy!
3. She reads her My Body Book and finds the girls tummy and rubs it....and tickles the feet too:)
4. She follows me from room to room....her nickname should be Ducky.
5. She dances like no ones business!
6. She sleeps on me still; I know that one will be gone soon!
7. How she runs to the door when her daddy gets home...
8. When she wakes up in the morning all grumpy...she is certianly my child:)
9. She copies sounds and always wants "u" (up)
10. She can play with her brother peacefully but she won't let him push her around....unfortunately she may be the one doing all the pushing:(
